'Rising Tide' - OST Composing Jam #7

Submission for Lone Rabbit's OST Composing Jam #7

Inspired by the Jam cover art 'Inside My World' by @kawaakar._.

I took inspiration from the book 'Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow' by Gabrielle Zevin, in which the main characters develop a fictional game called 'Ichigo'. It's a narrative driven game which tells the story of a young girl trying to find her way home after being washed out to sea and separated from her family after a tsunami. 

Ambient, electronic and orchestral elements bring to life the situations our character finds herself within, charting a path from the 'Rising Tide' through various dangers and tensions before finding her way home into her 'Grandmother's Embrace'. 

This lines up nicely with the cover art which depicts a young girl, holding the hands of a figure seemingly made of bubbles. The title 'Inside My World' gives the impression that this is within the girl's imagination and whilst this seems to be a comforting memory of a loved one, it also provides her with the strength to keep going through the darkest parts of her journey.
